In Moments of Tragedy

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

For even when words don’t seem to do justice in moments like this, I find myself seeking something to write. For we are all seeking an answer, we are all questining why, and we are all wondering how the world can be like this.

Although I do not have answers, I do know the answer; He is Jesus. For He came into the world to bring forth salvation and love. He came to bring forth life to us all who were/are dead in sin. He came to restore identity and remind the world who we were created in the image of so we could be brought back into the likeness of our Creator. For when sin entered into the world through man giving into temptation, we lost the likeness of our Creator. We became darkened by the ways of sin and lost love, joy, peace and a relationship with God. For when we were dead in our sin, God sent His only Son to bring forth life. For Our Father realized our desperate need to be reconiled back to Him and no longer be seperated by our sin. Out of His deep love for us, He sent us a Savior. Through Jesus He brought forth repentance and forgivness to a world broken that is darkened by the weight of sin. Simply; where there is light, darkness cannot be. Where there is love, there is no evil. Where there is God, there is no sin. Those who do not have Jesus within them are without light, without love and without freedom from sin and the world. And with that comes forth a life that  is seperated from God and with that there is no hope only pain. Those who are without hope, are lost, weighed down by past hurts, pains and unforgivness which brings about wrong actions and choices. I do not blame man that do not know Jesus for what they have done and do, for they are lost and do not know why they do what they do. May all who do not know Jesus come to see Him as Savior, that is my cry for the world. That the prisioners of darkness will be set free from the chains of sin, through the love of Jesus.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” John 3:16-18

In moments of heartbreak like this, I seem to find myself coming to the Lord. For on my own, I am lost. But through Him, I am covered by His peace and love. I come to Him as a child, not seeking answers but desperatley seeking Abba to move in this situation. For all those who are grieving the death of Tim Bosma, I release the peace of Jesus over you. May you be brought revelation of who true life, Jesus Christ truly is. That you may find comfort in the midst of heartache and be brought clarity on how fragile life is and our desperate need to know that whom is eternal life; Jesus. May you realize that our souls cry out for redemption, and no longer to be weighed down by the ways of the world; depression, anxiety, evil, hate, addictions, past hurts, shame, guilt but be brought back into a relationship with Our Father which brings forth a life of forgivness, freedom, joy, love and peace. I pray for Tims family that they may be covered by the grace of God and their hearts will be comforted and healed from the inside out and His peace will reign in their hearts, that they will not seek the ways of the world through this loss but fix their eyes on Him. For I trust the Lord to move through this and I believe that He will and is working this tragic death out for good.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10

For I know in times like this, God is questioned. I believe without a doubt that Our God is good. He sent His Son to die so that those who accept Him could recieve eternal life and bring forth His light and love into this world. For when we recieve Jesus, we repent of sin (anything that seperates us from the Father) and accept Him as Savior, recieving forgivness for our sins, we are brought back into a relationship with the Father and no longer have to sin. However when we choose to live apart of the world in sin and not free through the blood of Jesus. Our lives are darkened by the evil in the world and sin easily entagles us, continuing to take us down the wrong path. For the world is dark because many choose to live without the true light, the true hope and that whom is love.

It is in the midst of heartbreak , we who are His hands and feet, are to arise and shine forth His love into the hearts that are weighed, broken and hopeless. For although the world is dark, Our God shines bright. For Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Even in moments where I see the evil that overcomes people, I am reminded of Our God works all things out for good. I ask that He forgives those who did this and has mercy on them, for they too are lost and broken people who don’t know the way. May through this Jesus reveals Himself to them so that they may come to know the way and ask for forgivness for that which has happened. For they do not understand the hope of Jesus and when we are not living free from the ways of the world, we are easily entagled by them. And with living in sin, comes a life of darkness, evil and hopelessness.

We do not overcome evil by evil, but we overcome evil with good. The world desperatley needs people to arise and allow Jesus to live through them. For we were all born with free will-the ability to choose what we want. We can either live for the world or live for Jesus, Our Precious Savior who through His blood sets us free and enables us to live as children of light.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

The world needs light, the world needs men and woman to arise in love to reveal the love of Jesus to all. For those who are dead in sin are desperate to recieve life through Jesus. And in times where we wonder where God was, He was there, with His heart breaking for those who don’t know Him and are caught up in the evil working of the world. His cry is that those who love Him will take a stand to share His love wherever they go. For God has already done the ultimate answer, He sent Jesus to pay for our sins once and for all. We just must accept Him and recieve His life. May we live radically inlove with Jesus, shining like lights so that those who do not know Him will come too and no longer be darkened by the ways of the world but brought forth clarity on the life they were created to live; not partaking in that which the world see’s as normal, but being pure, holy and righteous in all we do.

“so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky” Philippians 2:15

May you be reminded that you are loved. That you are valued and your life was made for a purpose.  No longer be bounded by the chains of sin and the ways of the world but be set free from Him who died for you to do so. You are able to live in freedom through him who died for you to do so. Jesus is Lord and at the cross, He showed He was enough for all. You are worth life. You are worthy of freedom.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” John 8:36
