It’s really easy to forget Jesus.
It’s easy to go about our days and do what we want rather than seek to bring Him into it. For the most part, if we know about Jesus we try to honor Him with our life, pray about direction and say if it’s the will of God that a door will open without really asking Him where He wants you or to help open a door if it is His plan for your life.
We miss having a relationship with Him, and I mean a true, deep relationship. One where you don’t just know about Him but love Him and know Him deeply. One where we actually bring Jesus into our situations and life rather than faintly building one with just His name incorporated in. For when Jesus is in our lives, our lives will bear fruit-fruit of the Holy Spirit, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control” Galatians 5:22-23. Our lives will exemplify His Word and we will no longer go about our day forgetting about Him, but be enjoying His company along the way.
For I have come to realize that I simply cannot do anything without the grace of God. Even trying to catch a horse in the field. The more I have learned to trust in Him, the more I become dependant upon Him and I wouldn’t have it any other way. For when I trust in myself, it may not always work out for the best, either in the moment or the long run. For sometimes it’s easy to think we know whats best and do it, only to find out it wasn’t the best decision we could have made. However with the Lord as we learn to study His Word, hear His voice and live in communication with Him, we will live intune with the Holy Spirit.
For our lives will go from trying to do right, to allowing Jesus to live through you. Although it may not be totally believable, depending where you are in life or how you see Jesus. But I truly believe that once we allow Jesus to truly be the cheif cornerstone and the center of our lives-we will never be the same, for we will be transformed in the presence of God, we will be renewed in our minds. We will become men and woman who are always in the right place, at the right time-so that the Living God can reach and minister to those who cross our paths. For with Him, He will use those who are willing. Those who are seeking His face, seeking His life to be lived through our own. He is seeking those who are willing to lay down their lives and pick up the cross, no longer living for our own flesh but for His life.
I know this is probably nothing new to you. Something you have heard time and time again. But may we be people who not simply hear the word and refuse to do it, but believe in it and live it out.
“And why call you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whoever comes to me, and hears my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and dig deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently on that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded on a rock.” Luke 6:46-48
For when we live built up and rooted in Jesus Christ, grounded in His Truth, we will be people whom bring forth His goodness and love into this world-allowing others to see His mercy and grace rather than condemnation and the law. May you seek to allow Jesus to live through you and be welcomed into every aspect of your life. It’s not simply enough to say you believe in Him but yet live like you don’t. May you live wholly for Him and keep your eyes fixed on Him, learning to commune with Him throughout your day and praising Him through it all. For when we live in a state of worship, our life will bring forth His joy for all to see. For although it may be easy to forget about Jesus, He does not forget about you. He is with you through everything, waiting for you to look to Him and ask Him to come in. Not only to help when times get tough, but to rejoice through the good times, to rest in the easy days and enjoy living on heaven here on earth. It is beautiful that we do not need to wait till heaven to experience everyday life with God Almighty!
Have a wonderfully blessed day and I pray that “the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” Romans 15:13
